My Heroine's Journey
How Music Became My Medicine
In 2020, my world unraveled.
When the pandemic brought life to a halt, I could no longer work. Around the same time, my engagement came to an end, and I found myself packing up my home on Kaua'i and beginning again from the ground up. Everything I had imagined for my future seemed to disappear almost overnight.
The months that followed became one of the darkest and most transformative seasons of my life.
Searching for a way to heal, I found myself returning again and again to Mother Earth. I began venturing into the mountains on solo camping trips, spending days hiking through ancient forests and nights sleeping beneath vast, starlit skies. The Earth became my sanctuary, holding me through my deepest grief with a quiet wisdom that words could never express.
It was there, in the stillness, that something unexpected began to happen.
Songs started arriving.
Melodies would emerge as I walked through the forest, sat beside rivers, or watched the sunrise from my tent. They seemed to flow through me rather than from me, carrying messages of hope, remembrance, and healing. Singing became my medicine, helping me find my way back to myself one song at a time.
Looking back, I see those years as my own heroine's journey. What first appeared as loss became an invitation to discover a deeper purpose and a more authentic expression of my voice.
Today, my music is an offering born from that journey. My hope is that these songs remind you that even in life's darkest seasons, beauty can emerge, healing is possible, and there is a strength within you waiting to be remembered.
Thank you for listening and for allowing these songs to become part of your own journey home.
